about YOGA

A private yoga session is a unique opportunity to co-create a practice tailored to your own present time needs.

Yoga has taught me many ways to nourish both the body and the mind. Mindful movements and mindful breathing techniques, encouraging an attitude of Metta (loving-kindness) are the foundations of what I teach. My intention is to guide you to befriend your body, explore its potential and connect with its amazing resiliency, while also learning to rest the mind.

Insight Yoga

Developed by Sarah Powers, Insight Yoga is a blend of Yoga, Buddhism, Taoism, and Transpersonal Psychology. The sessions are a blend of yin/yang practices that include:

  • alignment bases postures (yang) in a slow flow style

  • long held floor-based postures (yin) to enhance the meridians

  • a seated meditation from the Buddhist tradition

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with simple floor-based postures held for several minutes. The yin approach to a posture invites the body to soften well-rooted patterns of tension and it supports an enhancement of Qi in specific energetic pathways.

Through its essence of receptivity, Yin Yoga naturally cultivates a practice of mindfulness, an essential tool to skillfully navigate life in fast-paced society.

“This practice takes you into a journey of not just in the body but also in the mind”.

 – Bernie Clark

Kripalu Yoga

The word "kripalu" is one of the Hindu words for "compassion." Kripalu Yoga is a gentle style of Hatha sequences that encourages understanding how one's own body manages in different poses, as all bodies are different. A typical session can blend asanas, pranayama and meditation with a focus on fostering an inquiry -based approach to learning while developing deep inner focus.
